COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Cogntive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works on the premise that growth and recovery is accomplished by solving problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and cognitions — i.e., learning to change the way you think about yourself will result in changing the way you treat yourself.

SOLUTION-FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy focuses on what clients want to achieve through therapy rather than on the problem(s) that made them seek help. The approach does not focus on the past, but instead, focuses on the present and future. The client is invited to envision their preferred future and then therapist and client start attending to any moves towards it, whether these are small increments or large changes.

SYSTEM'S THEROY

System’s Theory is the concept that explains holistically, the behavior of individuals by looking at the whole person/environment—relationships among individuals, groups, organizations, and/or communities and mutually influencing factors in the environment.

PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL THERAPY

Psycho-educational Therapy refers to the process of teaching clients with mental illness and their family members about the nature of the illness, including its etiology, progression, consequences, prognosis, treatment and alternatives. It involves helping the client understand and be better able to deal with the presented illness in order to avoid relapse and contribute to their own health and wellness on a long-term basis.

ECLECTIC THEORY

Eclectic Theory is a collection of certain aspects of various theories or practice methods that appear to be most useful for practice interventions.
